高戸橋がんこラーメン、3月30日に閉店
三週間ほど、おそろしく忙殺されていた関係で、すっかり覚え書きを放置していました。まともにニュースやブログの類をチェックすることもままならず、ある領域においてはすっかり浦島太郎な今日このごろです。それでも現実逃避、もとい気分転換を兼ねてTwitterやら何やらはちょくちょく覗いていたわけですけど、先週21日に衝撃的なニュースが。@takatobasigankoのつぶやき曰く：
お知らせ この度持病の治療により長期休養をする事になりました。誠に勝手ながら3月30日(金)を持ちまして高戸橋がんこラーメンは閉店させて頂きます。残りの営業日を毎日美味いスープが作れるよう頑張りますので、皆様のご来店心よりお待ちしております。
なんという衝撃。元祖一条流がんこ十六代目こと高戸橋がんこラーメンには、これまで何度となくお世話になってきました。深夜1時まで営業しているのをいいことに、遅い時間に同僚と会社から高戸橋までタクシーで向かって、大好物の「しそ塩」をいただいてから帰宅したことも度々ありました。さすがに最近ではそういうパターンは減りましたけど、たまーに食べたくなると、高田馬場で途中下車しては片道5〜10分ほどの距離を歩き、食べに行っていたんです。馬場といえば、学生時代を過ごした思い出の街ですから、ちょっとしたノスタルジアに浸りつつ散歩するのも悪くなかったしね。馬場界隈に限らず、すべてのラーメン店のなかで常に自分のお気に入りのトップクラスにあった、そんな高戸橋がんこが閉店してしまう......本当にショックです。もちろん健康は大事だし、おやじさんにはしっかり治療していただきたいとは思いますけども。しくしく。
閉店までのあいだにあと何回通えるかわかりませんが、できるだけ食べに行きたいと思います。ちなみに下の写真は、一昨日の晩に食べに行ったときのしそ塩の写真です。おっと写真を見ているだけで口の中にヨダレが......。

自宅の仕事環境の強化
以前から検討していたことではありましたが、自宅の仕事環境の強化に踏み切りました。強化というか、より快適に仕事ができるようにしたってだけの話です。そもそも家に仕事を持ち帰るってどうなのよ、という話は当然あるのですが、だいたい23時とか24時に退社すると
- 風呂に入る時間が遅くなる（入らないと朝のシャワーで済ませざるを得なくなって辛い）
- 睡眠時間を削れない（最低5時間は寝ないと辛いらしい）ので朝起きるのが遅くなる
- 朝食を取らずに出社せざるを得なくなる
- 一日のリズムが崩れ体調悪化＆集中力低下
- 退社時刻が更に遅くなる
という悪循環が始まりがちで、ただでさえ個人や家族との時間を持ちにくい状況が長く続いてしまっており、まずいなぁと思っていたのでした。もともとノート型のMacBook Proで仕事をしていますので、社内からでないとアクセスできない類のデータやサーバーの存在を除けば、どこで仕事をしても本質的な不都合はありません。ただ社内だと自前のDELL 24インチワイドTFT液晶モニター、E248WFPに繋げているので、社外ではどうしても画面の狭さが気になり効率もやる気も落ちがちだったのです。そこで、
- DELL UltraSharp U2412M 24 LEDモニター（21,979円）
- Apple Wireless Keyboard（JIS）（6,800円）
- Apple Mini DisplayPort − DVIアダプタ（3,400円）
- eneloop 単3形2個入りパック（880円）※キーボード用に
を購入。モニターは先月26日に注文していたのですけど、ちょうどその日まで期間限定の特別ディスカウントが実施中だとかで、11,000円オフの値段で買えました。E248WFPと同じ、1920x1200の解像度は死守した感じです。本当はVGAのを買うつもりが誤ってDVI-Dのディスプレイアダプタを買ってしまったのと（使えるからいいけど）、キーボードのペアリングで手間取った（先にiMacにペアリングさせたらなかなかMBPにペアリングできず、iMacの/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plistを手動で削除→再起動ではなくシステム終了、で解決）以外は、概ね問題なくセットアップ完了。肝心のディスプレイは値段の割に映りが良くドット欠けもなくて、良い買いものをしたなと思っています。あとは、早めに帰宅する習慣を身につけるのみ......。

第5回宇宙総合学研究ユニットシンポジウム、参加できず
見出しの通りです。参加できなかったイベントについて「参加できなかった」と記録することに意味はほとんど無いけれど、2012年の抱負に書き記すぐらい行く気まんまんだっただけに、残念がるついでで何か第5回宇宙総合学研究ユニットシンポジウムについて書いておこうかと。
初めてのことだと思いますが、今回主催側からインターネット中継がUstream経由で提供されたのは、実際の視聴者数の多寡にかかわらず良かったと思いますし、次回があれば是非また前向きに検討していただきたい感じです。あいにく僕は現地参加もUstream視聴もできなかったけれど......他に類をみないテーマのシンポジウムだけに、一人でも多くの人に向け参加の機会を提供するのは重要ではないかと。以下、シンポジウムの概要を引用してご紹介：
本シンポジウムは「人類はなぜ宇宙へ行くのか」と題して宇宙ユニットが2009年度から開催しているシンポジウムシリーズの3回目となります。 今回のシンポジウムでは、超巨大太陽フレアや地球環境の長期変動など、天文学的な時間・空間スケールで人類の生存を脅かす現象、人類の生存圏を拡げ、長期的な生存を可能にするための技術、そして人類が宇宙を探査することの意義などについて、理学、工学、人文社会科学の様々な分野の研究者の方に語って頂きます。
昨年は開始から半日足らずで高熱を出しギブアップ、やっとの思いで東京に帰ってきていただけに、今年こそは万全の体調で（夜行バスを使わず前日から京都入りするつもりで）参加したかったんですけども。年度内はほとんど身動き取れなさそうな勢いで仕事が詰まってきて非常に辛い感じの今日この頃であり、であればこそ「人類はなぜ宇宙へ行くのか」なんて遠大なテーマのお話を直に伺って、脳をリフレッシュさせたかったです。
もう少し日々の生活に余裕、自由度をもって生きたいものですね......昨日、今日は心底そう思いました。

mimori yusa concert tour 2011-2012《Band style》
だいぶ時間が経ってしまったけど、先月21日に行ってきた遊佐未森さんのコンサート、mimori yusa concert tour 2011-2012《Band style》の覚え書き。
会場はラフォーレミュージアム六本木だったのですが、六本木一丁目駅から微妙に遠くてわかりにくかったです。会場の建物に着いてからも案内標識的なものがわかりにくくて、軽く迷いました（無駄に地下に下りてしまったり）。座席は11列目10番で、それほど悪くない位置かなぁと期待していたものの、床が完全にフラットで傾斜がないぶん、見通しはよくなかったです......両隣の席がくっつき過ぎていたのも×。当日はあいにくの雨模様だったから、普段の荷物に加え傘も床に置かなければならず、難儀しました。そもそもあれだけ席が近いと動き回りにくいっていうか、盛り上がりにくいというか、ね。
今回のコンサート、NEWアルバムの『淡雪』が発売されてからたった3日後という、どう考えても予習不足な状況で臨んだのだけれども、やはり彼女の透き通った声は素晴らしく、最後まで楽しめました。「女子力」というのが一種のキーワードとしてMCのなかで何度も登場していて、その女子力を高めるべく？歌ったという『Wuthering Heights』（Kate Bushのカバー）は聴いてて鳥肌立ったし。今年は『淡雪』を引っさげてコンサートを結構やってくれそうなことを言っていたので、楽しみにしていよう。まためぐろパーシモンホールでやってくれないかしら。
